The DL on the DL

For all of you who aren't down with all the jargon....here is the Down Low and on DisneyLand....Yes we went to Disneyland for 3 days....here is how it went...................

What they should put on this plaque is.....BEWARE...enter with happy kids...leave with exhausted, ornery, sugar loaded, dirty, spoiled little scoundrels! Who will have very few memories of all the money you spent and your expectations of their boundless happiness that were dashed to pieces by realizing doing anything with a 3 yr old and a one yr old on very little sleep is going to make for a rather an interesting experience! THAT SAID.....WE HAD A GREAT TIME!

We left Sunday night (an hour after Jeff returned from a buisness trip to Florida) and drove to St. George where we crashed at Jeff Grandparents condo. no one slept well!

Monday...after a lovely breakfast with Grandma and Grandpa Reber...we drove the remaining 5 hours to Aneheim. On the way we went to In and Out Burger for lunch in Barstow. I was traumatized watching my two children mutilate and only half consume their burgers. It was sacreligous! Next time...I will buy them happy meals from mcdonalds accross the street!! They cant be expected to appreciate perfection!

When we got to our hotel CJ was very excited about the bunk beds in our suite (we were excited to have the kids in another room! =)) On their beds they each got a large Micky Mouse from the "disneyland faires" (in other words I bought them at the Disney store for 7$ each before we left!!) We walked around downtown Disney that night and Caitlyn thought THAT was Disneyland! She had no clue what she was in for! Jeffy....was enthralled by the fountains. Which he almost dove into mutliple times!

Tuesday- Day#1 Grandpa and Susan Surpised the kids and came with us today! Caitlyn loved the rides! Especially Snow White and Pinochio! Snow white is full of witches and Pinochio actually say the work Jack Ass! GREAT! At the Train Depot! Waiting for the train to take us to ToonTown!

Caitlyn met Micky Mouse and was thrilled! (His house if SOOOO cute! ) It was actually Mickey's Brithday so that was sortof neat!
Oh and Minnie and Goofy!
We went on Alice for our first ride! She loved it. Jeffy....did not! She laughed her head off on the jungle cruise
and Jeff talked her into going on Splash Mountain! (yes she is tall enough at 3 and a 1/2!) She wasn't happy about the drops but didn't shed a tear! (we did let her watch them come down the drop before hand...I refused to lie to her!) We consoled her with Whinnie the Pooh! She looks pretty upset doesn't she!
and Eyore too!
Jeffy was teary and afraid on most the rides. He did enjoy the new Nemo Submarine ride though....and the train. Its Pretty hard to be him....................
Chillin' in the stroller..........oh how I wish I was a baby!

This picture makes me laugh.....Jeff took good care of all of us....including Mickey (that Cj dragged everywhere!)
I was excited to take Cj on the teacups cause they are my FAVORITE! I was happy that she "sorta" liked it at least. Jeff about puked just watching us =)! WIMP!

We went on the new 3D Toy Story Mania ride in California Adventure! That was SOOOO FUN! Jeffy was proud that earlier that day he got a score of 830,00o on Buzz light year

We were sooooo tired by the end of the day! The kids were askeep the minute they hit their carseats! We went back to the hotel and put the kids to bed! Jeff went for Chineese take out! (He rocks!) The kids dindn't sleep well (so nobody slept well...)

Wednesday, Day #2
Dad and Susan came half day so Jeff and I got to go on a few "big people" rides. While we were on Indianna Jones Cj peed her pants (she was having to much fun to take a potty break!) So...that was fun! But oh well! We took her on Autotopia (which Jeff says should be called Autocrapia!) Caitlyn laghed the whole time! She even got to drive the purple car! She thought she WON THE RACE! It was soooo funny!

This cracks me up! The kids loved the Carousel!
Of all the great rides at Disneyland....THE CAROUSEL!
Jeffy was lucky enough to be getting all four of his blasted moalars so he was GROUCHY the entire time! He finally crashed the seccond day in the stroller! Poor little buddy! His favorite thing of all at Disneyland was laying down on the street and sticking his finger in any hole that had water and in all the man holes! He even slurped up some water on the side walk in the Pirates of the Caribbean line! GROSS.......all boy that one!
He also liked putting his food on his head!(thats an apple!)
Jeffy loved the Treehouse brigde! It must feel so weird to him! I took them through it three times in a row! (my workout for the day....like walking around DL wasn't enough!) Serioulsy there is like 500 stairs in that thing! Caitlyn even found some TREASURE!
Caitlyn in a leaf chair in Bugs Life Land...it whatever they call it!
more bugs life......
My hot hubby! Doesn't he look so GQ!
The Truth....it really is......so grateful! Really Really Really!

Recognize HER? We got up close and personal with the wicked queen of hearts when Alice in Wonderland broke down with us on it! We seriously sat there for 10 minutes or more before a worker had to come get us out! We walked down the back way....in the nick of time cause caitlyn had to pee...again!We lucked out that just as we were about to leave they opened Small World Christmas Style! IT WAS AMAZING! It totally made the trip for me! This was our last ride of the day......we left right after....AT 6PM! We had Arbys for dinner....once again.....no one slept well!

Thursday, Day #3....sortof!
Ge got the the park a half hour after it opened....went on Buzz light year, snow white and Pinocchio...bought Caitlyn a WALL-E stuffed animal she was begging for...
bought the kids their first cotton candy ....which they ate two bites of before it fell out of the stroller and got lost. And then we went home....after a whole 2 hours! We drove to St George that night and then drove home in the morning.

Now that was a marathon post..........and it felt like a marathon! TRUST ME!

This picture sums is up for all of us...happy to see Mickey (and all)
but TIRED and ready to sleep in our own beds!

So great! Even though it doesn't sound like you had a lot of fun, you look like it in your pictures! I love the Happily Ever After sign. That's the sweetest thing in the world.

Here are my comments about that:

1. Amen to that first part! We totally felt the same way about leaving with spoiled brats that won't even remember! But after getting away I think we admit that it was a really good time.

2. I think it is my dads wish to traumatize the kids into Splash Mountain or something! What is up with that!?

3. My kids loved the carousel as well. I think that was the ride we went on the most in the whole park!

4. Looks like you had a wonderful time and I still wish that we could have seen you guys and it made me want to go back!

Wow, that's a whole lot of fun! It takes a special kind of girl to take 2 litle kids to Disneyland for that many days. You seem to fit the bill! I sure can't wait to see you in a few weeks! PARTY!!!

I think it was Daddy Jeff that convinced Caitlyn to go on Splash Mountain, not Grandpa Jeff :)
